My Next Project

Over the years I have made so many wonderful changes to my condo. The two places that have remained untouched are my two bathrooms. I am now realizing that the bathrooms are the only two rooms that don't make me really happy :(

I am thinking that making over my bathrooms is going to be my next project. The above picture is my en suite. It is super tiny...and super boring! The lighting is so horrible in there and it is so small that I have to do my makeup and hair in my other bathroom.

Because of my obvious love for white, I am thinking white for the bathrooms. I would love to replace the vanity with a simple sink like the one in the picture above. Either that or I will be dusting off the rollers and painting my current vanity white. I also love the nautical/industrial lighting in the above picture. And because my amazing boyfriend is an electrician...I bet I could bribe him to put some more lighting in for me.

A crisp white bathroom really gives a bright clean feeling; and who doesn't want their bathroom feeling clean. The great thing with white is you can always add and change colours like they did with the towels above.

I love the hexagon shaped tiles in this bathroom. My boyfriend just so happens to love it too. Does that mean he will install it with me?! lol.

Stay tuned for my bathroom updates. I have a feeling this project will move along slowly but surely.

Will be fun! The sinks are cool but I have used bathrooms with pedestal sinks and hate how there are no counters or place to set anything. Might be worth thinking about and painting your vanity white so you have the space. But you mentioned doing your make-up in another space....
Can't wait to see what you guys come up with!

What a very fun project. I'm with you on the white. You can always dress it up with colour. I thought of you today when I was walking home from the grocery store. Someone had put out an old piece of furniture on the curb. It was in pretty bad shape. I doubt it could have been helped. Good luck with the bathroom.

I'm working on a bathroom reno this weekend with my brother and sister in law! It is SO much work, as we are redoing everything and trying to get it done in one weekend!

Last year my husband and I renovated our guest bath and installed the white hexagon tile. It wasn't too bad, but I had to make it a little harder by inlaying little 1 inch green glass tiles around the entire bath to create a fun border! Good luck with yours, will look forward to seeing the progress!

First off, I really enjoy your blog. It's clean and simple and easy to read. Now onto the bathroom reco, I too have the blahs when it comes to the bathroom, and white seems like the answer but I have always worried about the lack of counter space with a pedestal.. let me know how it goes! Can't wait to see what you decide to do!

Your bathroom looks similar to mine! It's so boring and drab, but I can't change it cause it's an on campus apartment :( You're so lucky you get to update yours! I love the white. And I've always really enjoyed hexagon tiles. I bet it's going to look great!

Thanks for the comment! To tell you the truth, I have yet to have a bathroom that made me happy. Perhaps I need to think about renovations also. I love the hexagon tiles. It will be cool to see what your finished product looks like

The second inspirational photo with the caw footed tub literally makes my heart melt. So simple but so gorgeous. You are a lucky girl, none of us are very handy and we live in a rental apartment at the moment, so I'll live vicariously through you.

Look forward to hearing from you

Oh trust me, your ensuite is ten times bigger than the only bathroom in my condo! I really like the cabinets, looks very modern!
And oh MY those second two pics of bathrooms are GORGEOUS! Totally luxurious .. I'm not a fan of that last one though - it reminds me of a bathroom you'd see in an old mental institution for some reason!! Weird hey?
Take care xoxo
