Now lets move from snow balls to cotton balls lol. For as long as I can remember I have been storing my cotton balls, eye pads and Q-tips under my bathroom sink. Half of them end up getting spilled all over the place and the bags and boxes take up so much unnecessary room.
I recently decided to put them in my extra jars I had lying around. I bought these jars at a second hand shop for 50 cents. They worked out perfectly because now I can display them on my bathroom counter for easy access. If there is one thing I have learned, its that you can never have enough mason jars!
Bare with me as I fiddle with the functions on my new camera. The lighting was kind of off when I took these pictures but I am sure I will eventually get the hang of it.
On another (more sad) note...I had to go with my very brave Mom today to say goodbye to one of her beloved kitty cats. Minnie was such a beautiful, sweet little kitty who will be terribly missed. It is so amazing how pets can enter our lives and take such a huge piece of our hearts. It was definitely Minnies time to go but that never makes the good bye any easier. Enjoy your time with your little creatures while they are here and give yours an extra pet tonight from my Mom and me :) Xox

Hi Jessie! I know poor momma:( Minnie was such a sweet kitty and SO loved! I wish I could have been there with you today to help mom through this sad day.
Love you! xoxo
I'm with you, I love mason jars, especially the old style ones you can find at thrift stores.. I always think of my grammy when I think of mason jars!! And I know what you mean about the snow. I love the snow although its abit annoying not being prepared for it.. (ie. no winter boots!!)... The drivers here just panic but sure are alot of people still riding their bikes!! very cool!!

....awesosme idea!.......so happy you have your new camera!...our daughter is home from 3 months travelling in Australia & NZ and editing her 2,000 pictures!...so fun to have a great camera!
i too use old jars to store my cotton balls, qtips, etc! works perfectly.
i got my first puppy EVER when i was 18 years old from my now husband. we lost him over the summer to rare circumstances of his organs simply shutting down. i never knew until that moment, just how special he'd become to me. sad that i didn't know what i had until it was gone. little Max will forever be missed, as will your momma's Minnie i'm sure. hugs to you and her. xoxo
Great idea! I wish I could get some cold holiday weather, Thanksgiving where I live was 79 degrees!

aw, i'm so sorry for your mama. i really feel for her.
i really like your mason jar idea. in high school, my best friend stole a couple ramekins from denny's and left them in my car. they've since found their way in my bathroom cabinet housing the cotton balls and q-tips.
What a great idea! I always see mason jars at estate sales...might pick a few up next time.
p.s I'm your newest follower :)
Great idea! I'm currently storing cotton balls in the lid of a hairspray bottle which isn't working too well ... these mason jars are a great idea, and they don't look half bad either!
