Sorry for the lack of post this week. I was sick last week so I did a lot of lying in bed watching the Tudors. I love that show, the costumes are unbelievable and Johnathan Rhys Meyers isn't hard to watch either ;)
On another note, I am one of those 9-5 workers...well actually 7:30-4. Waking up at 6:30am and choosing something to wear isn't exactly my favourite thing to do. I usually stand in front of my totally overstuffed closet with one eye open, scratching my head trying to figure out what to wear. I decided this week that I would buy a clothes rack and pick out my outfits before hand.
So here are my outfits for this week. I know that I may not actually wear every outfit because I also believe in dressing for your mood, but at least it is a head start. I know that this bit of help will go a long way and even give me some extra sleeping time in the mornings.

She's Got Style!
I just adore the city I live in. One of my favourite things about Victoria is all of the fashionable people. With Victoria's cultural diversity and West Coast vibe at any given time you can find looks ranging from bohemian/hippie, rock and roll to European inspired.
I always find myself at a party or walking through the city streets noticing how many people have such amazing fashion sense. I often want to stop and ask them what they are wearing and where they got it from. This week I decided to do just that!

This stunning gal definitely has style! I absolutely love the look of a classy patent platform heel paired with casual skinny jeans. Her coat was so amazing, this picture really doesn't do the detailing justice.
Stay tuned for more 'She's Got Style'! Let me know what you think.

My Next Project
Over the years I have made so many wonderful changes to my condo. The two places that have remained untouched are my two bathrooms. I am now realizing that the bathrooms are the only two rooms that don't make me really happy :(
I am thinking that making over my bathrooms is going to be my next project. The above picture is my en suite. It is super tiny...and super boring! The lighting is so horrible in there and it is so small that I have to do my makeup and hair in my other bathroom.
Because of my obvious love for white, I am thinking white for the bathrooms. I would love to replace the vanity with a simple sink like the one in the picture above. Either that or I will be dusting off the rollers and painting my current vanity white. I also love the nautical/industrial lighting in the above picture. And because my amazing boyfriend is an electrician...I bet I could bribe him to put some more lighting in for me.
A crisp white bathroom really gives a bright clean feeling; and who doesn't want their bathroom feeling clean. The great thing with white is you can always add and change colours like they did with the towels above.
I love the hexagon shaped tiles in this bathroom. My boyfriend just so happens to love it too. Does that mean he will install it with me?! lol.
Stay tuned for my bathroom updates. I have a feeling this project will move along slowly but surely.

What's With Me and Stripes?
I have always had a soft spot for stripes. I don't know what it is but whenever I enter a store, I am immediately drawn to the stripes. It is like I have an internal stripe detector lol. Anyway, I was so delighted to stumble upon the Spring 2011 fashion trends page on Elle.com. It was here where I discovered that stripes are listed as the pattern of the season. Yay :)
These are some of my fashion icons in stripes. I love how sophisticated Olivia Palermo makes stripes look. While Kim Kardashian makes them look cozy and casual.
As most of you lovely and dedicated readers know, I recently went to Palm Springs where I managed to squeeze in a bit of shopping (Thrift shop heaven by the way). Once I got home, I realized there was a bit of a theme going on! Here are my most recent purchases from left to right: Old Navy striped sweater $25, Target striped tank $16, Wet Seal striped cardigan $25 and vintage striped Capris. $8. *Warning...do not attempt to wear all of these items together lol.
Thanks for stopping by :)

Yahoo...I'm Back!
Hello everyone...or anyone (wishful thinking that I still have some loyal followers out there). I know in my last post over a MONTH ago, I mentioned that I was headed to the Dominican Republic for a friends wedding. Well I'm back and as you can tell from the photo below, we had lots of fun :)
After I got back from the Dominican, I worked for four days and then headed for the airport again to spend Christmas and New Years with my family and boyfriend in Palm Springs. We had an amazing time there, it was SO hard to leave. Our main purpose for the trip was to furnish my parents new house so I will have some great before and after posts coming soon.

Because we were only home for approximately five days in December, there wasn't much point in putting up too many decorations. I know I missed the boat on posting holiday decorations but I took the pictures so I might as well post them. Feel free to scroll right through them lol.
I got the doilie idea from the one and only Martha Stewart. Add a little glue to the doilies and they stay stiff.
This centerpiece was from my Mom's house. I was amazed to find out that she made it...out of brillow pads of all things. My Mom is super creative!
On another note, thank you SO much to Amanda at Perfect Imperfections for the award :) You made my day!
